I. Jerusalem
Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD and as many as 1 million people were killed, and 100,000 taken captive. Daniel predicted it, Jesus foresaw it and sobbed over it, and the Temple laid waste. There was literally, not one stone left atop another.
II. Passover
Passover was the event that connected the Exodus, the Crucifiixion and the destruction of Jerusalem. The first Passover was on the night before the Exodus, and the ceremony set the pattern for why and how Jesus’ would die.
